Operations Risk Officer – VATP

Tokalent is hiring an Operations Risk Officer for our Virtual Assets Trading Platform (VATP) in Hong Kong, in a full-time position. We're building a regulated digital asset exchange and seeking a detail-oriented risk professional to help establish robust governance and security frameworks as we pursue our Securities and Futures Commission licence.

Role Overview

As our Operations Risk Officer, you'll play a foundational role in managing operational risk across our VATP as we develop a compliant digital asset exchange. You'll work alongside senior management and cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain risk controls that protect our platform, users, and business. This is an opportunity to shape risk governance practices in Hong Kong's emerging virtual assets sector from the ground up.

Core Duties

• Identify, analyse, and document operational risks and vulnerabilities across VATP systems and trading processes
• Develop and deploy risk mitigation policies, procedures, and controls tailored to virtual asset trading environments
• Partner with Technology, Compliance, and Operations teams to embed risk strategies into daily workflows and system architecture
• Conduct systematic risk assessments, control testing, and audits to verify alignment with regulatory expectations and internal standards
• Produce comprehensive risk reports and executive briefings for senior leadership, complete with actionable recommendations
• Monitor regulatory developments, technological advances, and industry practices affecting digital asset trading risk profiles
• Contribute to the design and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery protocols
• Support the investigation of operational incidents, security breaches, or control gaps, and help develop preventive improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Genuine interest in cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and financial markets
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively across technical and business audiences; comfortable working cross-functionally
• Meticulous attention to detail with demonstrated capacity to manage competing priorities
• Proficiency with data analysis tools and Microsoft Office applications
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages highly valued
