SharePoint Administrator

Okgov is seeking a SharePoint Administrator for Oklahoma County government operations. This full-time role, based in Oklahoma County, offers the opportunity to manage enterprise collaboration platforms that directly support county staff and public service delivery.

Position Summary

As SharePoint Administrator at Okgov, you'll manage and optimize our SharePoint environments to support thousands of county employees. Your work will ensure secure, compliant access to shared documents and collaboration spaces while maintaining performance and implementing governance policies that align with Oklahoma County's operational needs. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll directly impact how county government delivers services.

What You'll Do

• Administer and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, and site collections across the organization
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to protect sensitive government data
• Monitor system performance, apply patches and updates, and troubleshoot technical issues
• Configure workflows, metadata structures, and search features to improve usability and information retrieval
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users on SharePoint capabilities and best practices
• Partner with IT teams to integrate SharePoint with other enterprise systems and applications
• Document configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery plans for operational continuity

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft SharePoint (2019, 2021, or SharePoint Online)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and cloud collaboration platforms
• Understanding of Active Directory, user authentication, and data security principles
• Ability to configure permissions, information architecture, and workflow automation
• Strong independent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication skills for supporting diverse user groups
• High school diploma or equivalent; SharePoint certifications or related experience preferred
