Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential technology consultancy seeking a Graduate Electronics Engineer with an RF focus for a 2026 start. Working as part of multi-disciplinary project teams, you will contribute to client assignments across consumer devices, industrial systems, aerospace, telecoms, and defence sectors. With structured mentoring and hands-on support, you will develop your skills while working on real product developments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Field experiments to validate concepts
- PCB-level RF circuit design and laboratory-based validation of RF filters, power amplifiers, and oscillators
- Development of system models and antenna modelling using sophisticated design tools
- RF design, simulation, testing, and measurement activities
- Direct client interaction during requirements capture, progress updates, and final handover
- Presenting designs, results, and conclusions to project stakeholders
- Collaborating closely with software, signal processing, mechanical, and AI engineers
You will have access to extensive in-house facilities including prototype PCB manufacturing with SMT pick-and-place and vapour-phase reflow, EMC emissions testing, and a 5GHz 360° antenna test facility.
What We're Looking For
Our client seeks candidates currently studying towards, or recently graduated from, a MEng degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related discipline, on track to achieve or having achieved a 2.1 or above. Recent graduates with industrial experience are also welcome to apply.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Solid foundation in electronic principles with an RF leaning
- Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers and network analysers
- Motivated and detail-oriented approach
- Confidence working in a hands-on laboratory environment
Desirable experience:
- Knowledge of RF simulation tools
- Experience in electronics design and schematic capture
- Understanding of RF measurements and lab-based debugging
This role requires UK security clearance (Security Check level). You must be able to work in the UK without restrictions in accordance with UK National Law and successfully undertake UK National Security Vetting.
