Full Stack Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential nonprofit technology organization that is transforming how charitable organizations operate and secure funding. Our client has built a comprehensive platform serving over 1,500 charities and is scaling rapidly. We're seeking a Full Stack Engineer who wants to work on meaningful problems with significant autonomy and minimal bureaucracy.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad product surface—from grant management systems to event booking flows—with substantial freedom to define your own priorities and approach. You'll be joining a lean, high-output engineering culture that prioritizes shipping quality software over process overhead.

Responsibilities

• Write production-grade frontend and backend code in TypeScript
• Shape architectural decisions for new and existing product features
• Build onboarding and migration tools to support rapid customer growth
• Debug and resolve user-reported issues in collaboration with customer success teams
• Design reusable infrastructure with clean interfaces that support both human and AI-assisted development
• Own features end-to-end, from initial concept through production maintenance

What We're Looking For

• Multiple years of experience shipping code and managing complex production systems
• Strong generalist capabilities—comfortable moving between frontend, backend, and infrastructure work
• Proficiency with React; experience with Elasticsearch is a plus
• Solid foundation in Git, agile methodologies, and testing practices
• Track record of building maintainable, well-architected systems
• Ideally, previous experience shipping a product solo from start to finish
• Computer Science degree preferred but not required
• Familiarity with the charity sector through employment, volunteering, or trustee work is valuable but not essential
• Self-directed problem-solver who can figure out unfamiliar challenges independently
