Position Summary
As a Roll Off CDL Driver with Wasteconnections, you'll operate specialized heavy-duty trucks equipped with hydraulic roll-off systems. This full-time role is essential to our operations, transporting waste and recycling containers to and from commercial and residential job sites throughout the Clarksville area. You'll work independently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
What You'll Do
- Operate roll-off trucks safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Pick up and deliver containers at customer locations, managing hydraulic systems with precision
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely, reliable service
- Perform basic equipment checks and minor maintenance as required
- Adhere to weight regulations and load security procedures
Who We're Looking For
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including climbing and lifting
- Commitment to safety and compliance with all regulations
- Reliable attendance and professional demeanor
