Billing Coordinator – Full Time-Days

Capefearvalley is seeking a full-time Billing Coordinator to support our Orthopedics & Sports Medicine department. Based in Multiple locations, this position plays a vital role in managing patient accounts and ensuring accurate billing operations.

Role Overview

As a Billing Coordinator with Capefearvalley, you'll be the backbone of our billing operations within Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. This full-time, day-shift position provides an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to healthcare administration while working with a dedicated team committed to patient care and operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities

• Process patient billing, insurance claims, and account adjustments accurately and efficiently
• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage details prior to patient visits
• Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and manage collections activities
• Respond to patient and insurance provider inquiries regarding charges and statements
• Maintain detailed, organized records and documentation in accordance with compliance standards
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies
• Generate billing reports and assist with month-end reconciliation processes
