About the Role

As Executive VP, Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel at Banner Health Corporate in Phoenix, Arizona, you will serve as the principal legal advisor to the organization's most senior leaders. This is a highly visible, full-time, on-site executive position responsible for safeguarding the enterprise across its legal, compliance, internal audit, risk, and claims and litigation functions. Reporting into the highest levels of leadership, you will turn complex challenges into clear, practical direction that keeps the organization moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of the company's legal services, compliance, and internal audit operations.
• Direct enterprise risk management as well as the claims and litigation portfolio.
• Act as a trusted, solution-focused counselor to executives and the board, delivering concise, decisive guidance.
• Translate intricate legal and regulatory matters into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
• Champion a culture of integrity, accountability, and sound governance throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven executive-level legal leadership, ideally within a large, complex organization.
• Broad command of legal, compliance, internal audit, risk, and litigation disciplines.
• Exceptional judgment with the ability to communicate clearly, responsively, and concisely.
• A pragmatic, results-driven approach to resolving high-stakes issues.
• Licensed to practice law and qualified to serve as General Counsel.
