Grants Analyst 1 (Post_Award)

Umiami seeks a Grants Analyst 1 (Post Award) for our Coral Gables, Florida office. In this full-time role, you'll manage post-award compliance, reporting, and financial oversight for grant-funded research and programs.

Role Overview

Post-award grant management is critical to research success. In this position, you'll support the financial administration, compliance, and reporting of awarded grants throughout their lifecycle, serving as a key liaison between faculty researchers, university departments, and external funding agencies to ensure grants meet all sponsor requirements and university standards.

What You'll Do

• Monitor grant budgets, expenditures, and financial compliance to keep awards on track
• Prepare and submit required grant reports, financial statements, and deliverables to funding agencies
• Coordinate with faculty, departments, and administrators to address compliance questions and funding issues
• Track grant milestones, deliverables, and reporting deadlines for timely submission
• Maintain organized grant documentation to support audits and sponsor reviews
• Process grant transactions and support award close-out procedures
• Respond to sponsor inquiries and provide grant status updates to stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline
• 1 or more years of experience in grant administration, accounting, or financial management
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to juggle competing deadlines
• Comfort with spreadsheets, databases, and financial management systems
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Understanding of federal grant compliance and reporting (prior exposure helpful, training provided)
• Self-directed yet collaborative approach to teamwork
