Central Community School District seeks a dedicated Part-Time Gifted Teacher to deliver specialized instruction for advanced learners across the district. This position offers experienced educators the opportunity to nurture high-ability students while maintaining flexible, part-time scheduling.
About the Role
As a Part-Time Gifted Teacher, you will design and deliver differentiated curriculum and enrichment experiences tailored to the cognitive, creative, and social-emotional needs of gifted learners. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers, administrators, and families, you will support students in grades K–12 who demonstrate exceptional academic potential, talent in the arts, leadership abilities, or creative problem-solving skills.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement enrichment lessons and advanced curricula that extend and deepen student learning beyond grade-level standards
- Provide pull-out or in-class instruction that challenges gifted students across multiple content areas
- Collaborate with general education teachers to identify, assess, and support gifted learners within their classrooms
- Create flexible learning environments that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and intellectual growth
- Communicate with families about student progress, strengths, and advanced learning opportunities
- Participate in gifted education professional development and district initiatives
What We're Looking For
- State teaching certification in general education or subject-specific area; gifted education certification or endorsement preferred
- Proven expertise in teaching gifted or advanced learners
- Deep knowledge of differentiation strategies and challenge-based learning
- Strong organizational and communication skills with teachers, administrators, and families
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative school environment on a part-time schedule
