Technician I – Facilities, Maintenance

Catalent is hiring a Technician I – Facilities, Maintenance at our Madison, WI facility. This full-time position offers the opportunity to maintain and support our building systems and equipment in a professional, regulated environment.

What This Role Involves

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician I at our Madison location, you'll be responsible for the upkeep and repair of building systems and equipment. You'll perform preventive maintenance, respond to maintenance needs, and work to keep our facility operating safely and efficiently. This role requires hands-on technical skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe, functional workplace.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from facility staff and operations teams
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and repair or replace components as needed
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to identify maintenance needs
• Document maintenance activities, repairs performed, and equipment history in facility management systems
• Support facility compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and follow proper safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing preferred
• Proficiency using hand and power tools safely
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of basic mechanical and building systems
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a safety-conscious approach
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively
