About the Role
As a Landfill Liquids Technician, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our facility's leachate and liquids handling systems. This role is critical to environmental protection and regulatory compliance. You'll work with equipment and processes that collect, monitor, and manage liquids generated by waste decomposition, ensuring everything meets strict environmental standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain leachate collection systems and related equipment
- Conduct regular inspections of liquids management infrastructure
- Collect and document liquid samples for testing and analysis
- Record operational data and maintain detailed compliance logs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
- Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in repair and upkeep of liquids handling systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in an industrial, environmental, or waste management setting (preferred)
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Willingness to learn technical equipment operation and maintenance
- Valid driver's license
