As a Residential Garbage Driver, you'll operate collection vehicles and manage the daily pickup of residential waste from homes and neighborhoods throughout the 5150-Austin service area. Responsibilities

• Operate garbage collection trucks and safely maneuver through residential neighborhoods and streets
• Execute timely pickups from residential properties along assigned routes
• Load, unload, and compact waste material according to safety and operational standards
• Perform vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate records of collections and service completion
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to protect yourself, colleagues, and the public
• Provide professional customer service when interacting with residents

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain one
• Minimum age 21 with valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift and handle heavy loads regularly throughout your shift
• Physical endurance for a fast-paced, outdoor collection environment
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to accident prevention
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
