LPN/RN Private Duty -All Shifts (Children and Young Adults)

Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver comprehensive private duty nursing care to children and young adults in the Russellville, Missouri area. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of your patients and their families.

About the Role

In this private duty nursing role, you'll provide essential medical care and support to pediatric and young adult patients in their homes, building ongoing relationships with families while delivering skilled nursing services. You'll work as a trusted member of each patient's care team, addressing complex medical needs with clinical expertise and compassionate attention. This position offers schedule flexibility across all shifts to match patient and family requirements.

What You'll Do

• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses
• Perform wound care, catheter care, and other skilled nursing procedures
• Monitor vital signs and patient health status, reporting changes promptly
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene care
• Maintain accurate, thorough medical documentation and care notes
• Operate and maintain medical equipment and devices safely
• Communicate with families, physicians, and the care team to coordinate treatment plans
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies with clinical judgment and professionalism

Requirements

• Current, active LPN or RN license in Missouri
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatric or private duty settings
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to accommodate various shift schedules
• Commitment to patient-centered care and family collaboration
