LPN/RN (Private Duty LPN/RN – All Shifts (Children and Young Adults))

Join Phoenix Home Care and Hospice as a Full-Time LPN/RN providing private duty nursing care for children and young adults in Mexico, Missouri. We're seeking a compassionate, skilled nursing professional ready to make a direct impact on the lives of the families we serve, available for all shifts to meet our clients' around-the-clock healthcare needs.

Position Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, you'll deliver personalized, in-home care to pediatric and young adult clients with complex medical needs. Working across all shifts—morning, evening, and night—you'll be the healthcare provider families depend on to maintain their child's health, comfort, and quality of life within their own home environment. This is private duty nursing at its most personal and rewarding.

What You'll Do

• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and track patient progress according to physician orders
• Perform clinical assessments and respond to changes in your client's condition with clinical judgment
• Provide wound care, catheter management, and other specialized nursing interventions as needed
• Document patient care in compliance with medical records requirements and state nursing regulations
• Communicate regularly with families, physicians, and the care team to coordinate comprehensive treatment
• Adapt care routines to support development, education, and family participation in daily life
• Work flexible scheduling across day, evening, and night shifts to meet family and clinical needs

What We're Looking For

• Current LPN or RN licensure valid in Missouri
• Experience or willingness to develop skills in pediatric or specialty care nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with families
• Reliability and flexibility across varying shift schedules
• Genuine passion for supporting children and young adults with complex medical needs
