Junior ML / AI Engineer – Team Data (H/F)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading online gaming organization based in the heart of Paris. Our client operates a sophisticated, distributed platform that serves hundreds of thousands of monthly users across multiple European markets. They're seeking a Junior ML/AI Engineer to join their Data team and drive innovation across diverse data-driven challenges.

This is a unique opportunity to build machine learning and generative AI solutions from the ground up in an environment rich with opportunity for creative problem-solving. You'll work on complex challenges ranging from fraud detection to process automation, all while contributing to the growth of a forward-thinking data team.

Responsibilities

• Identify business needs and propose concrete, pragmatic solutions using ML and AI
• Design, develop, and maintain machine learning models and generative AI systems
• Evaluate model performance and deploy solutions to production environments
• Collaborate closely with technical and product teams to deliver innovative features
• Conduct active technology watch on ML/AI advancements and best practices
• Work on diverse projects including chatbot development, generative AI POCs (technical documentation generation, regulatory monitoring, internal RAG systems), and data modeling across domains such as gaming integrity and player behavior

What We're Looking For

• Experience in AI and ML production environments (internship or apprenticeship acceptable for junior level)
• Strong understanding of LLM model architectures
• Advanced Python development skills
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS services including RDS, S3, DynamoDB, Redis, Redshift, SageMaker)
• Knowledge of container orchestration (ECS Fargate/EC2), workflow tools (Airflow), and ML platforms (MLFlow)
• Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions) is a plus
• Proactive mindset with strong communication skills and ability to propose innovative solutions
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris, France

Position Details

This is a full-time, permanent (CDI) position based in Paris.
