What This Role Involves

As an Analyst Epic Application II, you'll serve as a technical bridge between clinical departments and our information systems. This position focuses on implementing, configuring, and optimizing the Epic electronic health record system to enhance patient care delivery and operational efficiency across Washington University Medical Campus.

Your Responsibilities

  • Configure and customize Epic modules to meet departmental clinical and administrative workflows
  • Analyze existing healthcare processes and recommend system enhancements to improve data accuracy and user adoption
  • Develop and execute testing protocols to validate system changes and new configurations before deployment
  • Provide technical guidance and training to end users including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff
  • Document system designs, build specifications, and process changes for ongoing reference
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership and IT teams to prioritize enhancement requests and troubleshoot application issues
  • Support the full lifecycle of Epic implementations and upgrades

Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Epic EHR systems, particularly application modules relevant to Washington University Medical Campus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to healthcare compliance requirements
  • Experience documenting technical specifications and training clinical end users
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to both clinical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced medical environment
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards and electronic health record best practices
