Staff Software Engineer, Experimentation Platform

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential technology client in the USA seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Experimentation Platform. This is a full-time opportunity to lead the development of a next-generation experimentation platform that will empower teams across the organization to make data-informed decisions and continuously improve their product.

In this role, you'll architect and build cutting-edge experimentation infrastructure, including AI-assisted workflows, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the company. You'll be working on high-scale systems that impact millions of daily users.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support a next-generation experimentation platform including core services, data pipelines, configuration tooling, statistical analysis tools, and user experience
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including non-technical teams, to understand and meet experimentation needs
• Influence product telemetry practices to support robust experimentation frameworks
• Build delightful user experiences and high-scale data systems that power internal teams and product features serving millions of users
• Lead experimentation initiatives on features and machine learning models, delivering measurable business results
• Mentor and develop engineers at multiple levels, fostering their growth and technical skills

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
• Experience building internal tools with familiarity in A/B testing and statistical frameworks
• Hands-on experience with experimentation tooling; experience building core parts of experimentation platforms from scratch is highly valued
• Proven track record leading complex technical projects from high-level goals to successful, shippable solutions
• Experience building systems with strong data governance controls that respect privacy and security principles
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with TypeScript or Rust is a plus
• Experience with various datastores including relational databases, NoSQL, and data warehouse solutions
• Strong product sense and communication skills with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally
• Track record of developing engineers and staying current with industry trends

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience building human-in-the-loop AI systems and AI product evaluation
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS
• Experience with modern data processing stacks
• Full-stack development or product engineering background
• Deep understanding of statistics, data science, or large-scale data processing
