Position Summary

intent seeks an accomplished iOS engineer specializing in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication and embedded systems integration. You'll work as a freelancer paid for hours invested in live client projects, joining a globally distributed team that builds connected wearables and smart hardware. The first ninety days serve as a mutual evaluation; strong performance combined with sustained project demand creates a pathway to full-time employment with benefits and a fixed salary.

Your Responsibilities

• Architect and develop iOS applications that communicate with hardware peripherals via BLE protocols
• Participate in feature specification, project planning, and effort estimation for new capabilities
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests using XCTest, Quick/Nimble, and test-driven development practices
• Ensure CI/CD pipelines remain optimized and functional across platforms including GitHub Actions, Bitrise, and Travis
• Review peer code contributions and provide actionable technical feedback that elevates team quality
• Document and share learnings through technical presentations, internal wikis, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Collaborate directly with hardware engineers, product designers, QA specialists, and product managers
• Integrate AI tools into your development workflow as a productivity multiplier

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in production iOS development with a portfolio of shipped applications
• Deep knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy protocols and experience implementing BLE connectivity in iOS apps
• Professional-grade Swift proficiency and familiarity with modern iOS development patterns
• Experience writing testable code and maintaining automated test suites
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms and release automation
• Ownership mindset: you take responsibility for your work and communicate clearly when challenges arise
