About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential pharmaceutical technology organization in their search for a Working Student – Finance. This is a remote opportunity based in Germany, ideal for a master's student seeking hands-on finance experience in an international, mission-driven environment.

Our client operates at the intersection of AI and pharmaceutical research, enabling collaborative data networks that accelerate drug discovery while maintaining strict data protection standards. You'll join a finance team supporting operations across multiple entities and countries.

Responsibilities

• Process and record incoming invoices with proper documentation and manage payment cycles
• Monitor due dates, follow up on outstanding invoices, and reconcile accounts payable
• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies
• Support monthly payroll cycles across multiple entities and countries, checking trial payslips and flagging discrepancies
• Maintain payroll documentation and personnel files in line with audit and data protection requirements
• Assist in audit preparation by compiling documentation and tracking open items
• Monitor shared finance inbox and route requests appropriately
• Support documentation of finance processes and identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a master's program in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field, ideally with focus on Controlling, Accounting, or Treasury
• First practical experience in Finance through internships or vocational training is highly appreciated
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured, solution-oriented approach
• Comfortable taking initiative and working independently in a fast-paced, international environment
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for working with AI tools (prior experience a plus, but willingness to learn is key)
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and clear communication style
• Fluent in both English and German
