Associate Manager – HR Shared Services

Sutherland is seeking an Associate Manager – HR Shared Services to join our Sofia office and lead our human resources operations. This is a full-time position based in Sofia, Sofia City Province, Bulgaria, offering the opportunity to manage HR service delivery and support our growing team across the region.

About This Position

As Associate Manager of HR Shared Services at Sutherland, you'll oversee the delivery of critical HR functions that support our business operations. This role bridges strategic HR initiatives and operational excellence, combining people management with process oversight to ensure our teams have the support they need to succeed.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR shared services operations, including employee relations, recruitment support, and onboarding programmes
• Supervise and develop HR team members, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and service standards
• Process and maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with local labour legislation and company policy
• Support recruitment initiatives by coordinating with hiring managers and managing candidate workflows
• Respond to employee queries and resolve HR-related issues with professionalism and confidentiality
• Monitor service levels, metrics, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction
• Collaborate with senior HR leadership on policy implementation and employee engagement initiatives

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in HR shared services, employee relations, or HR operations, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity
• Strong knowledge of Bulgarian employment law and HR best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations diplomatically
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Organised, detail-oriented approach with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Problem-solving mindset and a commitment to supporting employees and managers
