Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences – Cologne, Germany

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential audio technology company in their search for a Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences based in Cologne, Germany. Our client is a fast-growing organization building foundational services and SDKs that power user experiences across multiple platforms. This role sits at the intersection of product and infrastructure, where you'll design clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance how millions of users interact with their product.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce complexity for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs
• Deliver cross-platform solutions via the client's SDK architecture
• Optimize existing functionality by designing more efficient abstractions and improving algorithms to achieve faster loading and more intelligent parsing
• Build and ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
• Contribute to the technical direction of core platform services that support the broader product ecosystem

Technical Requirements:

• Strong experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is acceptable but the role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform)
• Prior experience with GCP is a plus

Pay

The client has indicated a salary range of €30,000–€120,000 per year plus bonus and equity, depending on experience. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
