Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential rail transport organization seeking a Senior Disponent to join their control center team in Berlin. In this role, you will ensure smooth operations across their rail network by coordinating vehicles and personnel while making critical operational decisions.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Coordinating rolling stock and train crew in daily rail operations
• Making operational decisions during disruptions, delays, and exceptional situations
• Documenting incidents and communicating with management and operational teams
• Providing active passenger information and organizing replacement transport when needed
• Working in regulated shift operations (24/7) as part of a collaborative team
• Taking responsibility for quality and safety in operational processes
• Mentoring and supporting new colleagues during their onboarding

What We're Looking For

Our client requires candidates with:

• Completed vocational training
• Fluent German language skills (minimum C1 level)
• At least 1 year of experience in dispatching, railway operations, or traffic control
• Resilience, decisiveness, and strong assertiveness
• Structured, solution-oriented working style
• Team spirit and excellent communication skills when interacting with colleagues and train personnel
• Confident use of PC, email, and Office programs
• Knowledge of working time legislation
• Willingness to work shifts (including nights, weekends, and public holidays)
