Speechify aims to eliminate reading barriers for learning. With over 50 million users across various platforms including iOS, Android, Mac App, Chrome Extension, and Web App, we are expanding our Data side of the AI team. We seek a skilled Software Engineer to manage data collection and support model training operations at petabyte-scale efficiency.

Core Duties

Finding new audio data sources and integrating them into our ingestion pipeline.
Maintaining and enhancing cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline, currently on GCP managed with Terraform.
Collaborating closely with AI Scientists to optimize cost/throughput/quality ratios, delivering richer datasets at larger scales and lower costs.
Working with other members of the AI Team and Speechify Leadership to advance our technology and operations.

What You Bring

We are looking for someone who is scrappy and innovative in sourcing data. Experience with cloud infrastructure management, Terraform, and a collaborative mindset are essential. A background in software engineering or related field is required.
