Key Responsibilities

• Define architecture and long-term technical roadmaps for major components of the MDR Platform
• Design, implement, and ship high-quality, production-grade software with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Drive engineering best practices, including code review, testing strategy, observability, and operational excellence
• Lead design discussions, prototype complex solutions, and resolve the hardest technical challenges on the platform
• Mentor engineers, coach for growth, and model sound technical judgment across teams
• Partner with product and stakeholders to translate goals into clear technical plans and iterative delivery
• Improve system performance, resilience, and developer productivity through tooling and careful platform design

What We're Looking For

• Extensive professional software engineering experience with a track record at senior or principal level
• Expertise designing distributed systems, APIs, and large-scale backend or platform services
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and cloud-native development practices common to platform teams
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, system design, and production debugging
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives end to end and influence architecture without relying on formal authority alone
• Clear written and verbal communication skills suited to remote collaboration across the United States
• Bias toward ownership, pragmatic trade-offs, and continuous improvement on complex software platforms such as the MDR Platform
