Teamlead (m/w/d) Compliance – Schwerpunkt MaRisk

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential financial services organization based in Frankfurt am Main. Our client seeks a Compliance Team Lead with deep MaRisk expertise to lead a small team and shape the strategic direction of their regulatory compliance function. This is a rare opportunity to define frameworks and methodologies rather than inherit established processes—you will have significant influence over how MaRisk compliance evolves within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to a small compliance team and drive strategic development of the MaRisk compliance function
• Translate supervisory requirements under MaRisk into efficient, sustainable internal processes
• Monitor ongoing regulatory developments and deliver concrete recommendations to the organization
• Continuously optimize and oversee the compliance management system
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business units on regulatory matters, acting as a strategic sparring partner
• Independently conduct risk analyses, control activities, and monitoring measures

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in economics, business law, law, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in compliance, internal audit, risk management, or audit functions within a regulated financial institution
• Strong regulatory knowledge, ideally complemented by initial leadership experience
• Analytical thinking combined with a structured, solution-oriented working style
• Confident presence, strong assertiveness, and pronounced initiative
• Business-fluent German language skills, both written and spoken

Additional Details

This is a permanent, full-time position located in Frankfurt am Main with hybrid flexibility (two days remote work per week).
