Role Overview
As a Labor & Delivery RN with Host Healthcare, you'll deliver specialized intrapartum and postpartum care in a dynamic hospital setting. This is a full-time travel nursing position for 13 weeks at 36 hours per week on overnight 12-hour shifts, giving you the schedule predictability that travel nurses rely on. Your earn rate of $1,929 per week reflects the value Host Healthcare places on experienced clinicians. Beginning July 29, 2026, you'll work alongside dedicated teams committed to safe, compassionate maternity care.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and progress throughout labor and delivery
- Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives with delivery procedures
- Provide comprehensive postpartum assessment and patient education
- Respond to obstetric emergencies with clinical precision and teamwork
- Document care and maintain accurate, timely patient records
- Support patients and families through the labor and delivery experience
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in Texas or ability to obtain temporary Texas RN licensure
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of maternal and neonatal assessment
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts
- Current or ability to obtain required certifications (ACLS, NRP preferred)
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
