Host Healthcare is hiring a Travel Cardiovascular Operating Room RN to join a leading surgical team in Charleston, Charleston County, South Carolina. This full-time travel contract is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CVOR nurse ready for a rewarding assignment in the Lowcountry.
About the Role
As a Travel Cardiovascular Operating Room RN with Host Healthcare, you will provide expert perioperative care during cardiac and vascular surgical procedures in Charleston. This is a 12-week travel assignment scheduled to begin on July 13, 2026, built around 8-hour day shifts totaling 40 hours each week. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader operating room staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, instruments, and equipment specific to cardiac and vascular cases.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly during complex CVOR procedures.
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly to the care team.
- Document care accurately and adhere to facility protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Active and valid RN license eligible for practice in South Carolina.
- Proven experience in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) specialty.
- Availability for a 12-week travel contract beginning July 13, 2026.
- Comfortable working 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork as a traveling RN.
