Travel Med Surg RN – Urology/Nephrology – $2,025 per week

Host Healthcare is actively recruiting a dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Springfield, Sangamon County, focused on Urology and Nephrology patient care. This full-time position offers competitive compensation of $2,025 weekly and begins August 3rd, 2026.

As a travel med/surg RN assigned to Urology and Nephrology units, you'll deliver direct patient care in a clinical environment that values your expertise and adaptability. Your Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical and surgical patients in Urology and Nephrology specialties
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and manage post-operative recovery and dialysis support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control protocols, and patient safety standards

Skills & Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Illinois or ability to obtain licensure by start date
• Minimum 2 years of med/surg nursing experience; Urology or Nephrology experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
• Strong communication and critical thinking abilities in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical teams
• Flexibility, reliability, and professional demeanor in a travel nursing role
