Position Summary

Join a dynamic cardiac cath lab team where you'll deliver expert patient care during complex coronary interventions and diagnostic procedures. As a travel RN in this specialty role, you'll work day shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment, collaborating with interventional cardiologists and specialized nursing staff. This assignment begins July 21, 2026, and runs for 13 weeks, providing the structured schedule and clinical focus that travel nurses seek when building their portfolios in high-acuity specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile cardiac catheterization equipment, ensuring all devices and monitoring systems function before procedures begin
• Assist physicians during catheterization, angiography, and intervention procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring smooth workflow
• Monitor patient hemodynamics, cardiac rhythms, and vital signs throughout procedures, communicating any changes to the care team
• Administer medications and contrast agents as directed, maintaining accurate documentation of all interventions
• Provide compassionate pre- and post-procedure patient education and support to reduce anxiety and ensure compliance with care protocols
• Maintain meticulous records of procedures, medications, and patient responses for clinical documentation and quality assurance

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in Colorado (or valid multi-state compact license)
• Minimum two years of acute-care nursing experience; cardiac cath lab or critical care background preferred
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification; additional certifications (BLS, PALS) a strong asset
• Demonstrated proficiency with cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic equipment, and EHR systems
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm in high-pressure environments
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Flexibility to adapt to a new healthcare environment and willingness to embrace travel nursing independence
