About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Senior Software Application Engineer for a future project based in Costa Rica. Our talent team is conducting a proactive search for experienced software professionals who can develop, maintain, and integrate complex software applications while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain medium to high-complexity software applications
- Execute build, deployment, and implementation processes for technology solutions
- Design technical solutions according to project requirements
- Program, configure, and test applications and architecture components
- Identify and resolve defects and performance issues
- Collaborate with Business Analysis teams to understand requirements and use cases
- Perform effort estimations for assigned projects and functionalities
- Implement and administer test environments (QAT/UAT)
- Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with development standards
- Ensure integrity of development, testing, and pre-production environments
- Lead automation, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical support and mentorship to less experienced professionals
What We're Looking For
Education (Required):
- University degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Professional university degree is mandatory
Experience:
- 4 to 6 years of experience in software development
- Experience in programming, testing, implementation, and support of enterprise applications
- Knowledge of software architecture, application integration, and databases
- Experience with version control, continuous integration (CI/CD), and agile methodologies
- Leadership experience on technical initiatives or medium-to-high complexity projects is desirable
