Werkstudent (m/w/d) AI Engineering

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential B2B services organization in Cologne that is building a new AI Center of Excellence. As a working student in AI Engineering, you will:

• Develop modern AI applications with real business impact across various departments, helping to make processes more intelligent and efficient
• Support the development of new AI solutions working closely with experienced AI Engineers, gradually taking on more responsibility in ongoing projects
• Work with cutting-edge AI technologies including multi-agent systems, enterprise RAG solutions, voice AI, and large language models in real-world projects
• Implement smaller AI and automation projects independently, bringing your own technical ideas to the table
• Collaborate directly with business departments in an environment with short decision-making cycles and a startup mentality where innovation is actively encouraged

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable field with a focus on AI
• Enthusiasm for modern AI technologies with ideally some initial experience in Python, APIs, databases, or AI tools
• Passion for trying new technologies, solving technical challenges, and implementing ideas independently
• Desire to gain practical experience in an innovative business environment
• Ability to work regularly on-site in Cologne (2 days per week)
• Structured working style and strong communication skills in German (minimum C1 level) with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
