Contract Negotiator V

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking an experienced Contract Negotiator V for a high-impact role. This position leads complex provider and vendor negotiations, strengthens strategic partnerships, and drives network performance initiatives. You'll serve as a senior contracting expert managing multiple strategic initiatives while communicating with executive stakeholders across the organization. The client prefers candidates based in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Lead and negotiate high-value provider and vendor contracts, managing implementations and ongoing partnership relationships
• Conduct comprehensive market research and financial analysis to support contracting decisions
• Define, initiate, and direct financial analyses and operational reporting for assigned agreements
• Track and manage ongoing financial and operational performance of designated partnerships
• Develop and implement corrective action plans or agreement modifications as needed, coordinating with internal teams
• Lead meetings with health plan teams and executive management to review partnership performance data, scorecards, and strategic direction
• Present negotiation strategies and outcomes to senior leadership audiences

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of vendor and/or provider contract negotiations, contract analysis, and/or modeling experience in healthcare or similar industries
• Proven track record negotiating contracts with successful outcomes and measurable financial results
• Advanced negotiation, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills
• Experience presenting and communicating negotiation strategies and results to senior leadership
• Healthcare provider negotiations experience, particularly in pharmacy benefit management or managed care, strongly preferred
• Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously
