- Public-Facing Communications: Draft, edit, and format website content, fact sheets, and program summaries for non-technical audiences; ensure compliance with federal requirements including accessibility standards (Section 508); support development of standard messaging templates.
- Agency Liaison: Serve as primary point of contact with federal communications staff; coordinate routing of materials for written approval; track communications requests and maintain documentation of approvals and guidance; ensure consistent application of SOPs.

Core Skills:
- Exceptional technical editing and writing ability—translating complex regulatory and technical content into clear, accessible language
- Deep attention to detail with accuracy in grammar, formatting, and content review
- Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn federal plain language requirements, branding guidelines, and restrictions on lobbying/advertising
- Strong stakeholder coordination experience working with diverse teams (program staff, clinicians, policy experts, communications offices)
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to provide constructive editorial feedback
