Founders Associate Intern (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential venture capital and company-building organization in Germany. Our client works at the intersection of early-stage investment, company incubation, and AI-native operations. This Founders Associate Intern role offers direct exposure to deal work, venture building, and portfolio operations—all within a lean, technology-first environment.

This is a full-time internship position for three to six months, with potential for conversion to a permanent role or placement within a portfolio company.

Responsibilities

• Support new venture development from concept to validation: conduct market research, build financial models, participate in initial customer conversations, and assist with entity setup
• Own delegated workstreams within portfolio companies, including go-to-market strategy, operations, finance, and recruiting
• Contribute to investment analysis: financial modeling, data room review, thesis validation, memo preparation, and investor reporting
• Build and maintain AI agents and automation workflows that power firm operations, eliminating repetitive manual processes
• Deliver decision-ready recommendations with supporting analysis, not summaries

What We're Looking For

• Daily use of frontier AI models with hands-on experience building tools using agentic workflows, automation platforms, or rapid prototyping environments
• Strong academic background from a globally recognized university
• Prior work experience in banking, consulting, startups, or investing
• Proactive work style with the ability to take vague direction and deliver finished output independently
• Excellent written and spoken English; German or another European language is a plus
• Available to start full-time within four to six weeks for a three-to-six-month engagement
• Aspiration to become a founder and interest in learning across multiple companies simultaneously
