Bookkeeper – India

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential marketing and technology firm expanding rapidly across North America. Our client works with restaurant and hospitality businesses, delivering solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We're seeking an experienced Bookkeeper who takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records and understands the business impact of their work.

This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, plus Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update daily bookkeeping records in Zoho Books according to GAAP standards
• Process vendor invoices, handle vendor registrations, and generate customer invoices
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Conduct routine bank reconciliations and ensure completeness of financial records
• Process employee salaries, commissions, and expense reimbursements accurately and on time
• Prepare and file HST returns and other tax-related documentation
• Compile monthly and periodic financial reports in compliance with legal standards and internal policies
• Document financial records and handle additional accounting duties as needed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 2–3 years of proven accounting and bookkeeping experience
• Experience in food and beverage, retail, or technology industries is preferred
• Proficiency in Zoho Books or strong willingness to master the platform
• Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets
• Up-to-date computer setup with dual monitors and high-speed internet
• Excellent typing speed and attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
