We are representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer to join their team in Paris. Our client is building cutting-edge AI infrastructure that serves millions of users globally, partnering with enterprises across finance, manufacturing, healthcare, and the public sector.

As a Backend Engineer, you will architect and build the core systems powering enterprise AI platforms. Your work will directly impact the reliability, performance, and scalability of products used by developers and organizations worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend features and APIs for AI platform infrastructure
• Ensure high performance and reliability across distributed systems serving large user bases
• Build and enhance systems for authentication, billing, AI tooling, and developer experience
• Design and implement secure, scalable architectures to support product growth
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Solve complex engineering challenges and integrate new technologies into production environments

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience designing and building scalable backend systems and APIs
