Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential AI organization seeking an Applied AI, Forward Deployed Machine Learning Engineer to join their Critical and Sovereign Institutions team in Paris. This role focuses on delivering secure, high-impact AI solutions for organizations operating in highly regulated and strategic environments including finance, defense, healthcare, and the public sector.

You will design, implement, and deploy production AI systems that meet rigorous standards for reliability, security, and compliance. This is a hands-on technical role with significant operational and societal impact, working directly with institutions on their most challenging problems.

Responsibilities

• Deploy AI solutions into production for use cases with significant operational and strategic impact
• Develop advanced GenAI applications tailored to the specific needs of sovereign institutions and critical infrastructure
• Collaborate on complex projects involving fine-tuning, LLM applications, and contributions to open-source codebases for inference and fine-tuning
• Participate in pre-sales discussions, providing technical guidance to diverse stakeholders on AI products and capabilities
• Work with product and science teams to improve offerings based on customer feedback, with focus on security, compliance, and performance
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives

What We're Looking For

• PhD or Master's degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering
• Proven track record delivering complex AI projects from prototyping to production
• Deep expertise in fine-tuning LLMs, advanced RAG, agentic systems, and deploying NLP applications at scale
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern AI frameworks (LangChain, HuggingFace)
• Strong software engineering skills including API design, backend/full-stack development, and system architecture
• Fluent in English
• Security requirement: Must hold citizenship in France and be eligible for high-level security clearance (no criminal record, national service obligations fulfilled)

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with React or other frontend frameworks
• Experience with Deep Learning in PyTorch
• Contributions to open-source projects in the LLM or AI space
• Experience in customer-facing roles with focus on enterprise AI adoption
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps tools
