Credentialing Specialist (Temp)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare workforce solutions organization in their search for a Credentialing Specialist on a temporary basis (approximately 4 months). In this role, you'll guide healthcare candidates through credentialing and compliance processes, ensuring they meet all facility and organizational requirements by established deadlines. You'll serve as a critical liaison between candidates, internal teams, and healthcare facilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This is a remote position based in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage the credentialing and compliance process for travel healthcare candidates from onboarding through clearance
• Review candidate documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with facility and organizational requirements
• Communicate with candidates, healthcare facilities, recruiters, and internal partners to obtain required documentation and resolve outstanding items
• Monitor candidate files, deadlines, and start dates to maintain urgency and support timely clearance
• Maintain accurate candidate records and documentation within credentialing and compliance systems
• Apply department processes and facility requirements to move files forward efficiently
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine credentialing issues while escalating complex concerns appropriately
• Manage daily workload and priorities while meeting established KPIs, SLAs, and clearance expectations
• Provide coverage for other team members when needed, including reviewing active files and outstanding requirements
• Support team initiatives, process improvements, overflow work, and special projects as business needs arise
• Deliver a professional, positive, and solutions-oriented experience in every interaction

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven administrative, healthcare, staffing, credentialing, compliance, or customer service environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines and service level expectations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing, inaccurate, or incomplete information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with candidates, facilities, and internal partners
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to use available resources effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable learning and navigating multiple systems and processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn credentialing and compliance systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare staffing, travel nursing, travel allied, credentialing, compliance, or a related healthcare environment
• Experience working with healthcare providers, candidates, hospitals, or healthcare facilities
• Familiarity with credentialing, compliance, onboarding, licensing, or healthcare documentation requirements
• Experience managing a high-volume workload in a service-focused environment

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $28.85 to $35.10 hourly.
