About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Colombia-based team. This role focuses on building and maintaining sophisticated data pipelines with cutting-edge technologies including Snowflake and agentic AI frameworks.

Our client operates at the intersection of data engineering, AI, and real-time analytics, supporting mission-critical systems that process billions of rows of data. You'll work on fault-tolerant, self-healing data computational pipelines that power intelligent decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Build and support non-interactive (batch, distributed) and real-time, highly available data pipelines
• Develop fault-tolerant, self-healing, adaptive, and highly accurate data computational pipelines
• Lead the implementation of complex data engineering programs and provide technical consultation
• Tune and optimize queries running over billions of rows in distributed query engines
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for assigned systems and projects
• Perform root cause analysis to identify permanent resolutions to software or business process issues
• Work with agentic AI frameworks and Snowflake to deliver advanced analytics capabilities

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Agentic AI and Snowflake
• Advanced proficiency in SQL Server (T-SQL), with query-heavy experience (not ORM-based)
• Experience with PostgreSQL in read-only contexts
• Python expertise with FastAPI framework
• Practical knowledge of scikit-learn for percentiles and outlier detection
• Understanding of acceptance and likelihood models (carrier-accept-probability logic)
• Experience consuming from Kafka streams
• Ability to read and extract logic from C# codebases
• Working knowledge of AWS services: S3, RDS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch
• Reading fluency in Terraform
• Proven industry experience executing data engineering, analytics, or data science projects, OR Bachelor's/Master's degree in quantitative fields including Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or computation-intensive Sciences and Humanities

Location & Employment: This is a full-time position based in Colombia, with remote or hybrid work options available.
