Senior Software Engineer (f/m/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential sustainability technology organization based in Munich that is building software to help industrial companies measure and reduce their environmental impact. Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take technical ownership of complex product initiatives in a fast-moving environment where your code directly contributes to meaningful climate action.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you'll own features end-to-end—from problem definition through architecture, implementation, and production iteration. You'll work within a product module while also solving broader platform challenges that impact the entire engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Own technically complex product initiatives from problem definition through architecture, implementation, rollout, and ongoing iteration
• Design and implement solutions that turn fragmented data into actionable insights for industrial clients
• Contribute to cross-cutting platform improvements that enhance reliability, maintainability, and developer experience
• Identify unnecessary complexity, challenge assumptions, and guide the team toward high-value solutions
• Raise technical quality standards through thoughtful system design, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration
• Work closely with product design, customer success, and engineering teams to solve ambiguous problems
• Make high-quality architectural decisions that scale across the platform

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on TypeScript experience in high-velocity SaaS environments
• Strong full-stack capabilities with deep understanding of systems end-to-end
• Backend development experience, ideally with PostgreSQL and Azure
• Clear, precise communicator in English
• Self-driven problem solver with strong ownership and execution mindset
• Ability to navigate complex problem spaces and make sound architectural decisions
• Track record of shipping impactful features in production environments
• German language skills are a plus
