Senior Site Reliability Engineer | SRE (Remote, EU/CET)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential B2B SaaS organization seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their Platform team. This is a remote opportunity with a preference for candidates based in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, or Portugal, where key engineering and product teams are located.

This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, reliability, and security. You'll work across the platform to improve how production systems operate, strengthen security practices, and give engineers the tooling and infrastructure they need to ship quickly and confidently. Our client is a well-funded, fast-growing company serving enterprise customers across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and evolve cloud infrastructure with reliability, scalability, and security in mind
• Improve observability practices and help engineers understand, debug, and operate systems in production
• Partner across engineering and security teams to strengthen cloud security posture and operational practices
• Support security and compliance initiatives, including vulnerability management, security testing, and audit readiness
• Build tooling and automation that reduces manual work and improves the developer experience
• Bring an operational and security perspective to architecture and technical decisions
• Improve how the team prepares for, responds to, and learns from production incidents
• Use modern AI-assisted and agentic workflows to build, debug, and operate systems more effectively

What We're Looking For

• Experience building and operating production systems in a modern cloud environment, ideally AWS
• Understanding of modern SRE and infrastructure practices, including infrastructure as code and containerized workloads
• Experience with observability and knowledge of good monitoring, alerting, and production visibility practices
• Security mindset, with experience or interest in cloud security, vulnerability management, application security, or related areas
• Exposure to security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001, or interest in developing deeper expertise
• Ability to automate repetitive work using code and comfort working with at least one programming language
• Excitement about AI-assisted development and active use of modern AI tools in your work
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where ownership, curiosity, and pragmatic decision-making matter

The Stack: Cloud & infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker), Observability (Datadog), CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Argo CD), Data (PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Snowflake), Application (TypeScript, Node.js, React). You don't need experience with every technology—we care more about strong fundamentals, ability to learn quickly, and excitement about building reliable and secure systems.
