AI Native – Lead Architect

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology consultancy that has pioneered an AI-first approach to software engineering. They are seeking an AI Native Lead Architect to join their innovation lab in Paris, France, where you will leverage cutting-edge AI tooling to accelerate development cycles and drive technical excellence across client engagements.

In this role, you will lead high-impact engineering initiatives from discovery through delivery, ensuring technical excellence while mentoring teams in AI-augmented development practices. You will be responsible for defining service architectures, implementing automated quality gates, and advancing a methodology that generates the majority of product artifacts—code, documentation, and infrastructure—through generative AI collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define service scopes and reference architectures aligned with SLOs, security policies, and cost optimization objectives
• Drive engineering context (functional and technical) within product repositories, ensuring transparency and quality through automated PR templates and documentation standards
• Conduct risk and threat analyses, balancing performance, privacy, sustainability, and security considerations
• Design and implement safeguards in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., sensitive data anonymization, license verification, compliance gates) to ensure enterprise-grade quality
• Continuously improve key metrics related to energy efficiency, cloud costs, and system accessibility
• Facilitate collaboration with technical sponsors and product teams as the technical expertise reference
• Participate in pitch phases, proof-of-concept development, and ecosystem artifact creation
• Mentor and guide development teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning while ensuring technical delivery
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and improvement suggestions
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on operations and team performance

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• At least 6 years of experience in software architecture and development (Java,.NET, Python, React, Angular, or similar) with a strong technical appetite and hands-on capability
• Deep expertise in designing and scaling cloud-native applications or AI-first architectures
• Strong mastery of CI/CD processes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization technologies, and DevSecOps practices
• Familiarity with UX-as-Code approaches and design system thinking
• Ability to coach and mentor diverse teams in developing and implementing technical solutions
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Understanding of prompt engineering principles for optimal AI tool interaction
• High knowledge and curiosity about AI/ML technologies, including OpenAI API, LangChain, Hugging Face, and context engineering
• Critical and analytical thinking to validate and verify AI-generated code and solutions
• Continuous learning mindset and desire to stay informed about the rapidly evolving AI landscape
• Sensitivity to social, environmental, and Tech For Good issues, integrating them into your work
