About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential global technology consultancy that specializes in AI-first digital transformation. This organization works with Fortune 1000 clients across finance, retail, energy, and other sectors to deploy AI-powered products and solutions. We're seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to take full ownership of client engagements from discovery through production deployment.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role based in France where you'll embed directly with enterprise clients, translating complex business challenges into scalable AI-native solutions. You'll lead workshops, present to executives, architect systems, and mentor engineering teams while leveraging AI development tools daily to accelerate delivery and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery from discovery and scoping through architecture, prototyping, and production-ready AI system deployment
• Run client discovery sessions, frame complex technical requirements, and manage stakeholder expectations across technical and executive audiences
• Mentor engineers and foster AI-native development best practices within autonomous delivery teams
• Collaborate with sales and presales teams to craft compelling technical proposals and solution designs
• Champion prompt engineering, output validation, guardrails, and fallback strategies for LLM-powered systems
• Capture field insights to strengthen delivery methodologies, tools, and playbooks for scalable client success
• Build trust with Fortune 1000 stakeholders while navigating enterprise constraints including risk, compliance, and complex organizational environments

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with proven client-facing delivery track record
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage all project phases from discovery to production with minimal oversight
• Deep full-stack expertise (ReactJS front-end preferred;.NET, Java, or Python back-end) with eagerness to learn new technology stacks
• Experience deploying LLM or generative AI-powered systems with understanding of AI behavior nuances in product design
• Strong architecture and design capabilities coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Daily, hands-on use of AI development tools integrated into your workflow
• Expertise in prompt engineering and context management to maximize AI effectiveness
• Critical evaluation skills for AI-generated outputs to ensure reliability and quality
• Experience mentoring or leading small engineering teams
• Autonomous, proactive, outcome-oriented working style comfortable with ambiguity and senior-level conversations
• Familiarity with enterprise constraints including compliance and complex stakeholder environments
