Senior Rust Developer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential enterprise software client seeking a Senior Rust Developer based in Frankfurt. In this role, you will:

• Build new products and features within a distributed platform architecture
• Develop new code primarily in Rust while maintaining existing Go and Ruby codebases
• Create proof-of-concept implementations in emerging technology areas and drive them to production or recommend alternatives
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones

What We're Looking For

Technical Requirements:

• 2+ years of strong experience writing, shipping, and maintaining Rust code in production environments
• Experience with additional languages such as Ruby, Python, Go, JavaScript, or Java
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multiprocessing, and memory management
• Proven experience developing high-performance asynchronous applications with Rust (tokio experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of network protocols and technology stacks
• Good understanding of database technologies including both traditional SQL and modern NoSQL solutions
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tooling
• Familiarity with Linux environments
• Golang or Ruby knowledge is a plus
• Experience with WebAssembly (WASM) is a plus
• Open source contributions are valued
