Product Data Analyst (m/f/d) – Hamburg

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential mobility technology client seeking a Product Data Analyst to join their team in Hamburg. In this role, you will collaborate with product squads to build data-driven product experiences and work within a multinational team of analysts.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Providing analytical expertise and collaborating with stakeholders to generate new product feature ideas and improvements, estimating the potential impact of planned projects
• Continuously engaging with product squads to understand problems that need solving, gathering requirements, and defining deliverables that match business needs
• Taking full ownership of your analysis, from ideation to communication of results and making recommendations to all levels of the organization including senior management
• Developing and evaluating A/B test experiments and other analyses to measure and report the performance of released features
• Working closely with developers and data engineers to create and capture data aligned with business logic that enables modeling and analysis
• Being involved throughout the complete product lifecycle to guarantee a data-driven process
• Bringing new insights and championing them through analyses, dashboards, and compelling storytelling
• Steering product direction by determining which features should be developed and which changes should be made to solve users' daily needs

What We're Looking For

• Strong curiosity that motivates you to answer WHY things happened, not just scratching the surface but aiming for well-founded actionable results
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other fields with a strong mathematical-statistical background
• 3+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst in a data-driven analytics environment, preferably within tech product organizations with direct stakeholder contact
• Exceptional analytical skills, lateral thinking, and proven experience solving highly challenging problems
• Very good knowledge of SQL, databases, and statistical programming tools such as Python or R for performing exploratory analyses, creating reports, and maintaining ETLs
• Good understanding and hands-on experience in analyzing and interpreting A/B test results, backed by statistical knowledge
• Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlikview and event tracking tools such as Mixpanel, GA, or Firebase
• Ability to communicate findings in a concise and clear manner to a wide variety of stakeholders using data visualization and storytelling
• Excellent English communication skills
