Afterhours Driver Support Specialist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential logistics organization seeking an Afterhours Driver Support Specialist for a remote position. This role requires weekend availability and focuses on providing critical support to drivers during late-night and after-hours operations when assistance is most needed.

You'll work 8-hour shifts alongside at least one other team member, with two rest days per week (though not necessarily Saturday and Sunday). This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys problem-solving under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers experiencing issues during night shifts, providing empathetic and efficient resolution
• Coordinate within internal communication channels to tag appropriate dispatchers and drivers for prompt assistance
• Guide drivers through load, receiver, and shipper issues that arise after hours to keep operations running smoothly
• Navigate the transportation management system to identify load numbers and contact brokers for necessary directions
• Ensure drivers receive timely support to reach their destinations without delay
• Maintain accurate communication flow between all parties during overnight operations

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in customer support, sales, or related roles, preferably in logistics or transportation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and take initiative
• Comfortable using computer software tools and basic logistics systems
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to think quickly on your feet
• Ability to empathize with drivers and address concerns effectively during stressful situations
• Willingness to work overnight and weekend shifts
