Senior Online Marketing Manager – Fokus Media & Performance (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital agency seeking a Senior Online Marketing Manager to lead performance-driven campaigns for diverse clients.

In this role, you will:

• Plan, build, and optimize multi-channel digital campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube), Meta platforms, and additional channels including LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, or TikTok depending on client budgets
• Own tracking implementation and conversion measurement, building reports that answer strategic questions and translate performance data into actionable recommendations
• Manage and allocate media budgets across channels, monitoring pacing and forecasting while justifying every budget shift with data-driven rationale
• Serve as a strategic advisor to clients during annual planning, budget discussions, and campaign troubleshooting sessions
• Develop cross-media plans that extend beyond digital—incorporating out-of-home, print, audio, or video—and recommend which channels will effectively achieve campaign objectives
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate rates with media vendors and publishing partners
• Provide technical leadership within the team and make performance marketing insights accessible to strategy and creative colleagues

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone with:

• Multiple years of hands-on experience managing digital campaigns, with independent proficiency in Google Ads and Meta Ads—from account structure through bidding strategies to troubleshooting
• Strong working knowledge of GA4 and Google Tag Manager; you can audit tracking setups, diagnose issues, and collaborate effectively with developers
• Proven experience managing media budgets with the ability to justify allocation decisions
• Cross-channel thinking: experience contributing to media plans that include traditional channels and understanding reach dynamics across formats
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and beyond) and comfort working with analytics and reporting platforms
• Confidence leading client meetings independently and explaining complex concepts clearly
• Fluent German for client communication and strong working English
• Degree in marketing, business, communications, media economics, or equivalent practical experience
