Principal Systems Architect (m/w/d) Defence & Security

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization operating in the defence and security sector. Our client develops complex, software-based systems for safety-critical applications. In this role, you will drive the technological evolution of modern distributed system architectures.

• Design and develop modern, distributed, and containerized system architectures
• Conceptualize and evaluate virtualized and networked systems
• Assess suitable cloud and orchestration platforms for security-critical applications
• Monitor technological developments in Cloud Native, Edge Computing, and software-defined infrastructure
• Collaborate with customers, industry partners, and public institutions
• Provide technological consultation in workshops and client projects
• Define new technological requirements in partnership with internal teams and external stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent qualification
• Extensive experience with complex system architectures in defence, security, or comparable technology environments
• Strong knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes
• Deep understanding of distributed, resilient, and software-defined systems
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to customers and stakeholders
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally
