Senior IT & OT Systems Specialist (gn)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization with international operations, and we're seeking a Senior IT & OT Systems Specialist to drive the digital transformation of complex production environments.

In this role, you will:

• Serve as the central interface between production operations, operational technology (OT), and IT systems
• Manage and continuously develop Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and production-related applications along with their peripheral systems
• Analyze new requirements from manufacturing facilities and implement solutions in collaboration with internal and external partners
• Handle customizing and optimization of production-critical systems
• Develop concepts for secure and future-proof OT infrastructure in partnership with security teams
• Plan, coordinate, and implement new systems as well as technical changes in the production environment
• Identify opportunities for standardization, digitalization, and automation of international production processes
• Manage external service providers and maintain comprehensive documentation of the system landscape

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable vocational training with relevant professional experience
• Several years of experience in production IT, OT, or industrial system environments
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and modern Industry 4.0 concepts
• Ideally, knowledge of MES systems, OPC UA, or comparable industrial interfaces
• Enthusiasm for bringing together technical and business requirements
• Structured, solution-oriented, and independent working style
• Excellent German and English language skills for collaboration in an international environment
• Willingness to undertake occasional international travel
