About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential research organization that is building an open dataset of professional creative work to improve how AI systems are evaluated. This is not about synthetic demos or staged tasks—it's about capturing how experienced Photoshop artists actually work on real briefs.

Our talent team is recruiting Professional Photoshop Artists across six disciplines to complete client-style assignments while screen recording captures your workflow. You'll work from a creative brief, execute the project in Photoshop, and deliver production-quality files. Each task typically runs 1–3 hours.

Your creative process is the deliverable. The layer structure, masking decisions, adjustment choices, and even the moments you backtrack and try a different approach—that's precisely what this dataset is designed to document. If you've felt that AI evaluation of creative work misses the mark because evaluators haven't done the actual work, this project addresses that gap directly.

Timeline note: This is an urgent engagement with immediate start dates. Selected candidates should be prepared for rapid onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Complete Photoshop assignments from creative briefs at professional production standards
• Run provided session recording software throughout each task
• Deliver layered PSDs with final output files
• Work independently at your own pace within project parameters
• Contribute work that will be published under open license for research purposes

What We're Looking For

We are recruiting across six Photoshop specializations. Please identify your primary discipline:

• Matte painting / digital environments
• Key visual / campaign compositing
• Game & UI assets
• Print & packaging pre-press
• Portrait / beauty retouching
• E-commerce / product retouching

Technical requirements (non-negotiable):

• Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later) with licensed Photoshop—Intel Macs and Windows systems cannot be accommodated
• Photoshop-only workflow during recorded sessions (no Illustrator, Nuke, Blender, Procreate, or iPad tools)
• Manual execution only—no generative AI features (Generative Fill, Firefly, or third-party AI plugins)
• Individual contributor working independently (no studio teams or subcontractors)
• Comfortable with open publication under CC-BY-4.0 license, meaning session data and deliverables will be publicly available with attribution
• Professional portfolio demonstrating expertise in at least one of the six specializations listed above

Pay

Compensation for this project-based role is $25/hour USD, paid through Get A Job.ai for hours worked on assigned tasks.
